Fundraising

Areas of Responsibility

Manage books for SPC fund allocation.

Manage teacher funding requests to SPC.

Identify fundraising goals and purposes.

Suggest, plan and execute fundraising campaigns, inclusive of events, raffles and sales designed to raise money for said goals and purposes.

Solicit and build relationships with local businesses for monetary donations.

Coordinate with other committees as needed.

Community Outreach and Involvement

Suggest, plan and execute all non-fundraising events for Curtis Guild Community.

Manage social media, digital media and print media outreach to promote the Guild School and the SPC.

Solicit and build relationships with local businesses for non-monetary donations.

Coordinate with other committees as needed.

Research grant opportunities available to the Guild School.

Identify which grant opportunities are worthwhile and fill a Guild need.

Write and submit grant proposals to appropriate institutions.

Update SPC and SSC with progress as necessary.

Building and Facilities Improvement
Title 1 & Advocacy

Areas of Responsibility

Identify any potential life safety issues on campus.

Identify areas in need of aesthetic improvement on campus.

Submit facility reports and request letters to BPS Facilities department.

Follow up on requests made to BPS facilities to ensure timely action.

Coordinate with Community Outreach & Fundraising for ways and means to meet needs not met by BPS.

Support the needs of Guild teachers and staff to ensure that curriculum encourages students to meet and exceed state academic standards

Advocate for increased Guild budget and resources at the BPS, local and state agency level.

Coordinate parent community response when critical actions are necessary.
